Job Summary

  • Must have reliable transport. We are not closely located to bus routes.
  • Must have at least 2 to 4+ years of operations or warehouse experience - either through education or various work experience positions.
  • 35+ hours weekly to strategize, execute and optimize all of The Sugar Cube's production and order fulfilment - increasing efficiencies and abiding by health and safety guidelines

  • must have previous experience either through education or various work experience positions and are very familiar with programs like: Gmail, Shopify, Canva, Slack, Google Drive ect.
  • Bonus if you have any experience with project management software, Cricut or Silhouette design software, scheduling software, accounting software, ect.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Warehouse Operations: Take charge of all aspects of our warehouse operations, from receiving and inventory management to order fulfillment and dispatch, as well as cleaning and organizational systems created, maintained and enforced.
  2. Customer Service: Making sure that our customers always feel appreciated and served in the best and most efficient way possible, while adhering to our standards and limitations.
  3. Inventory Management: Implement effective inventory control measures, maintain accurate records, and conduct regular audits to optimize stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
  4. Quality Assurance: Enforce stringent quality control standards, conducting regular inspections to guarantee that our candies meet the highest benchmarks for taste, freshness, and presentation.
  5. Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of dedicated candy slingers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This includes scheduling, training, and evaluating performance.
  6. Health & Safety and Compliance: Champion and enforce strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, adhering to relevant regulations and industry health standards.
  7. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  8. Logistics Management: Collaborate with logistics partners to coordinate seamless and timely deliveries, ensuring our candies reach customers in pristine condition.
  9. Creative Contributions: Come up with fun ideas to showcase our products, dream up and execute beautiful candy displays with our candy buffets, customization compliance ect.

  • Experience: Proven track record in warehouse management or a related field, ideally within the confectionery or food industry, with a solid understanding of inventory control and logistics operations.

    Health, Safety and Compliance: Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety protocols, regulations, and best practices, ensuring the highest standards of employee well-being and regulatory compliance.
    Technology Proficiency: Proficient in utilizing inventory management systems and other relevant software tools to optimize warehouse operations and enhance productivity.
    Results-Oriented: Proactive, self-driven, and committed to achieving targets and objectives, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
    Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
